MIAMI, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) announced today that Mary K. Bush has been elected to MasTec's Board of Directors, expanding MasTec's Board to eight members including six outside directors.

Ms. Bush is currently the President of Bush International, Inc., a financial advisory firm. Ms. Bush currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation, Texaco, Inc. and R.J. Reynolds, Inc., among others. Ms. Bush has served as Managing Director of the Federal Housing Finance Board, Vice President and Head of International Finance at Fannie Mae, and as Alternate Executive Director (Board Member) of the International Monetary Fund.

Ms. Bush spent the first decade of her career with major international banks in New York City as banker for Fortune 500 companies. In 1982, she joined the U.S. Treasury Department and later served on the Federal Housing Finance Board, Fannie Mae and the International Monetary Fund. At the IMF, she represented the U.S. Government on international lending and policy matters and led the development of a new IMF lending program of several billion dollars to emerging market countries. She has also served as Financial Advisor at the District of Columbia Financial Responsibility and Management Assistance Authority advising the District of Columbia government on financing matters and investor relation issues.
